Resetting your two-factor authentication (2FA/MFA resets)

Two-factor authentication (2FA), also known as multi-factor Authentication (MFA), adds an extra layer of security to Keelvar accounts. This feature requires a randomized code generated by an authenticator app after providing the password originally created by a Keelvar user.

In the case where a user's 2FA needs to be reset, follow the instructions below:

1. Initiate the Reset Process

  • Log into Keelvar with your username and password
  • When prompted for the two-factor authentication code click Reset two-factor authentication

2. Receive a Reset Code

  • Keelvar will send a reset code to your registered mobile number via SMS. This code is essential for resetting your 2FA.

If you have never registered a phone number to reset your account, please contact support@keelvar.com

3. Enter the Reset Code

  • Check your mobile phone for the SMS containing the reset code
  • Enter the code in the designated field on the Keelvar website and click Verify
