Rate Card Currencies

Users can configure and manage currency fields directly within a rate card. When setting up currencies, a user can create a currency only field and link other fields to this to specify the correct currency. Users can specify applicable currencies and their exchange rates on the rate card and further refine available currencies per field.

Adding Currencies

  1. Select the ‘Manage currencies’ tab
  2. Select ‘Manage currencies’ button to configure currency
  3. Search or locate the currency to add and select ‘Add Exchange Rate’
  4. Enter the exchange rate based on the primary currency and select ‘Done’
  5. Repeat steps 3-4 for all currencies to be configured.
  6. Select 'Save changes'

Creating a Currency Only Field

Currency Only fields can be linked to currency and value fields to specify the currency submitted by a supplier. This allows the rate card to have rates in different currencies. 

  1. Select ‘Add Field’
  2. Enter a Field name: Required
  3. Enter a Field Description: Optional
  4. Select the Field Type from the dropdown menu: Required
  5. Select ‘Currency Only’ and ensure each exchange rate you want in your rate card is marked in the checkbox. 
  6. Select a Field Category
    • Rate: Value related to suppliers/bidders
    • Item: Value related to the purchaser
  7. Select ‘Save’

 

Linking a Currency and Value field to Currency Only field

  1. Select ‘Add Field’
  2. Enter a Field name: Required
  3. Enter a Field Description: Optional
  4. Select the Field Type from the dropdown menu: Required
  5. Select ‘Currency and Value’
  6. Linked currency field: Select the currency only field that was created previously to include all exchange rates
  7. Decimal precision: Select the number of decimals the value should contain
  8. Select a Field Category
    • Rate: Value related to suppliers/bidders
    • Item: Value related to the purchaser
  9. Select ‘Save’

 

New Rate

When adding a new rate after the currency is configured, you will be able to select the currency for each rate being inputted. Currencies that are not configured will not populate as options. In the Currency Only field, ensure that all relevant currencies are selected so they populate in the dropdown list when adding a new rate.
