How to Gate Entry to Bidding in an RFI

Creating an gating RFI question be easily be achieved by carrying out the following steps:

Navigate to the RFI page (Design > RFI) and click 'Add a question' to the RFI e.g. 'Do you agree with the Terms and Conditions' (Figure 1 & 2).

In the response type, choose 'Gating'. This will ensure that bidders are required to answer this question in order to gain access to the bid sheet (Figure 3).

Next, on the input type, choose 'Single choice'. This ensures that the bidders can only select one answer only, not multiple answers (Figure 4).

Click the '+Add' button to add radio button answers for the bidders to choose from (Figure 5).

These radio buttons can be re-named. Figure 6 shows the buttons renamed to 'Yes' and 'No'. Once you have created available answers for bidders to choose from, check the answer that bidders will be required to answer in order to access the bid sheet. In the image below, 'Yes' has been selected, indicating that the bidders are required to answer 'Yes" to this question in order to gain access to the bid sheet (Figure 6).

Once you are satisfied with your Gating question, click 'Save'. This will present you with a bidder preview of your Gating question. The unlock sign next to the answer indicates that the question is gating and requires and answer of 'Yes' (Figure 7).
