You can assign column roles to specific columns on the Columns tab. Sourcing Optimizer uses this information to provide bidders with better bid feedback, and to provide purchasers with improved event reporting. You can configure the settings for these roles on the General and Feedback tabs of the Event Settings page.
Roles can only be assigned to numeric, purchaser-input columns.
The following column roles are available:
Historical Price: This provides purchasers with a Historical Price column that can be compared for savings information when evaluating scenarios. You must have a column of historical prices to assign this role to.
Reserve: This provides bidders with a Reserve Met column. A blue indicator is displayed next to bids that are equal to, or below, the reserve; a gray indicator is displayed next to bids that are above the reserve price.
Bid Decrement: This enables a required minimum bid reduction for the column. For example, if the current bid is $100, and the bid decrement is set at $5, the next bid must be $95 or lower, to be valid.
Feedback target: This enables a traffic light-style feedback system to bidders about the bid target set for the column.
Minimum Bid Value: This enables minimum bid value validation. Bidders receive an error message if they enter values that are below this limit.
Maximum Bid Value: This enables maximum bid value validation. Bidders receive an error message if they enter values that are above this limit.
