Scenario Visualizations is a powerful and scalable business intelligence (BI) tool that enables you to visualize event data in a meaningful way, in real time. The visualizations are configurable, highly-customizable, and offer advanced data transformation capabilities so you can derive actionable data-driven insights within Sourcing Optimizer.
Use bid data and allocation data to generate expressive and intuitive visualizations for faster reporting, analysis, and decision-making.
Preconfigured visualizations
Sourcing Optimizer provides preconfigured, out-of-the-box visualizations for every event you create. These visualizations are highly-configurable and interactive. You can hover over elements of the visualization to view additional data based on the available measures; use the Zoom and Scroll bar to drill down into the visualization; and use the sidebar controls to select measures, sort the data, and apply filters to the data.
Four preconfigured visualizations are available.
- Scenario Summary: View, configure, and interact with data at the scenario level.
- Event Summary: View, configure, and interact with data at the event level.
- Bidder Summary: View, configure, and interact with data at the bidder level.
- Lot Summary: View, configure, and interact with data at the lot level.
For RFQ events, the Scenario Summary, Bidder Summary, and Lot Summary visualizations are available.
For Auction events, the Event Summary, Bidder Summary, and Lot Summary visualizations are available.
New visualizations
In addition to being able to configure, copy, and customize preconfigured visualizations, you can also create completely new visualizations based on your analysis and BI needs.
Using a simple form, you can name your visualization; select the visualization or chart type; select the groups by which the data is categorized; create the measures by which the data is quantified; select filters that can be used to include and exclude data; and add breakdowns to split a single data series into a multi-series visualization.
Visualization types
Scenario Visualizations offers multiple chart types for visualizing your event data.
Bar Chart
Use bar charts to visualize and compare discrete groups of data. The bars are displayed vertically.
Horizontal Bar Chart
Use horizontal bar charts to visualize and compare discrete groups of data. The bars are displayed horizontally.
Line chart
Use line charts to visualize data and identify trends or patterns.
Mixed Line and Bar Chart
Use mixed line and bar charts to combine the features of a bar chart and a line chart.
Pie Chart
Use pie charts to visualize the part-to-whole relationships of your data.
Scatter Chart
Use a scatter chart to visualize the relationships between two measures. Each data point is formed by its position on the y-axis and x-axis.
Bubble Chart
Use a bubble chart to visualize the relationships between three measures. Compared to a scatter chart, where each data point is formed by its position on the y-axis and x-axis, a bubble chart offers an additional dimension where the size of the bubble provides a visual representation of a third measure.
