Approvers in your organization can now split awards between suppliers during the award stage using the Bot chat window. The split award process consists of the following steps:
- Selecting the equipment type to award
- Selecting the suppliers to award
- Entering the percentage award for each supplier
You must complete these steps for each equipment type to complete the award process.
This is an on-demand feature that is not enabled by default. Contact your Customer Success Manager to discuss enabling this feature for your Sourcing Bot.
Selecting the equipment type to award
During the split award process, to cancel and return to the Award options step, click Back, and then click Back to Award options. You can cancel certain actions by clicking the gray X icon.
After all bids are received or if bidding is closed early, you can award the bids. First, after clicking to award bids, select the equipment type you want to award. You can select multiple equipment types to award at once; however, the suppliers selected and the percentage award for each supplier will be the same for all selected equipment types.
- Select the checkboxes of the equipment types you want to award.
- Click Continue.
Selecting the suppliers to award
Next, select the suppliers you want to award. Select a single supplier to award one supplier or select multiple suppliers to split the award between suppliers.
- Select the checkboxes of the suppliers you want to award.
- Click Continue.
Entering the percentage award for each supplier
Then, enter the percentage value you want to award each supplier. The value entered for each supplier must be a whole number between 1 and 100. The combined percentage award must equal 100.
- For each supplier, click the field, and then enter the percentage award value you want to award to them.
- Click Continue.
- Review the percentage split, and click Award.
After you complete these steps for all equipment types, the award process is complete. The Bot contacts the awarded and unawarded suppliers and updates your rate card.
