Resetting your two-factor authentication (2FA/MFA resets)

Two-factor authentication (2FA) provides an essential security layer for Keelvar accounts by requiring a randomized code from an authenticator app. This guide outlines the multi-step process for resetting 2FA/MFA via SMS verification and provides detailed instructions for re-enabling the feature within account settings to ensure continued protection of user data.

Reset two-factor authentication

If a 2FA reset is required, follow the procedures outlined below.

Initiate the reset process

  1. Log in to Keelvar with the account username and password.
  2. When prompted for the 2FA code, select Reset two-factor authentication.

Receive a reset code

Keelvar dispatches a reset code to the registered mobile number via SMS. This code is required to finalize the 2FA reset.

Note: If a phone number was never registered to the account, contact support@keelvar.com for assistance.

Enter the reset code

  1. Retrieve the reset code from the SMS sent to the mobile device.
  2. Enter the code in the designated field on the Keelvar website and select Verify.
